Software that can help your business perform better
Keeping on top of the software you use in your business is the quickest way to make improvements and is often the more cost-effective solution. New tech is being released monthly, some of it is not very helpful to you, but some will improve your business and help support you in many ways - it could be a new sales tool to support your sales team or a smarter invoice management system, to help with your accounts.
What we suggest is doing a monthly review on the different pieces of tech out there and signing up for some trials, if you see something you like. Trials are ideal as it gives you the chance to try the software and it won’t cost you. If you like it, you can sign up for a monthly subscription, if you don’t, you can cancel and it won’t cost you anything.

Canva - Graphic Design
For any social media or marketing work, Canva can help you take it to the next level. Canva is an online graphic design tool that allows you to put unique designs together that you can share on your social media platforms or your marketing decks. It has many templates that you can use which makes putting new designs together a lot easier and it has a free or premium version for you to use. The premium version unlocks additional templates and extra cool features. What a lot of people do is try out the free version and then decide if they like it or not, then sign up for the premium one. An alternative option to Canva would be Adobe Creative Cloud which includes software such as Photoshop, InDesign and Premier Pro.
Mail Chimp - Email Marketing
Email marketing should be an important part of your business. You can use email marketing to grow your customer base, which in turn will increase your revenue. A lot of companies will use email marketing to send newsletters about new products they are releasing as well as useful information about what they are currently working on. Brand recognition is an important element of any successful company and email marketing can be a big part of improving it.

How do you manage your projects at work? Do you have a project management system which allows employees to keep on top of their to-do list and mark things off? If you don’t, then using a project management system like Monday is a no-brainer. Project management systems allow you to set goals and objectives, and track progress, timelines and budgets. They will also send reminders to team members as well as allow employees to set statuses on where a task is up to. An alternative to Monday which some companies use is Trello as this is a free tool and very simple to use. Today there is a toss-up on what is the most important thing a business should have. Is having a good website more important than having a good social media presence, or is having a social media presence more important than a good website? What we can agree on is that they are both very important.
HootSuite is a social media management software that you can use to help with your social media channels. By using it, you can analyse social media performance, schedule future posts, respond to keywords and follow trends. A lot of companies use it to help them boost engagement as well as reach a better followers count but using less effort - this means they can focus on other areas of their business.
