Shower Or Bath? Making Your Bathroom A Better Place

Shower Or Bath? Making Your Bathroom A Better Place

In most homes the bathroom is something of an afterthought, that little room you go brush your teeth in, as well as take care of some occasional pressing business. You take your showers in there, and maybe the occasional bath if the tub happens to be big enough, which most modern bathtubs are not! The bathroom tends to get neglected and starts to take on an even drabber appearance than it started with, rusty faucets, toilets that never stop running, and leaky showers. It's a shame because your bathroom could be so much more than that with a little love and care!

So, what can we do to turn this necessary little room into something more pleasant? The first thing is to get some professional help, call your friendly neighbourhood plumber to take care of your shower sealing in Sydney, as well as all the other drips and drops! Once things are a bit more shipshape, you can get creative! Let's assume you have some money and are willing to spend it on making your bathroom a nicer place to be!

Let's start with that teeny tiny tub! Whoever thought it would be a great idea to install a bathtub for human beings that would barely qualify as a birdbath in your garden? If you really miss taking nice hot baths with at least 75% of your body submerged instead of having to choose legs or chest, then tear that silly little thing out of there and put in a nice, deep Japanese-style bath! You probably don't have enough floor space to install a spacious spa jacuzzi, if you do, by all means, go for it, but if you don't then the Japanese tub will solve your problems.

The Japanese, being super smart about everything, typically live in tiny living spaces because property is so dear there. Because of this, they design their tubs so they are deep enough to sit in, because they will not sacrifice the joy of a hot bath to the demands of high rent! The Japanese tub has a tidy little footprint so you can soak your aches and pains away sitting in the steaming hot water that nearly your whole body can submerge in, it's fantastic!

If it turns out you aren't so much into hot baths but just adore taking long, hot showers, then tear out that stupid little washtub and stick it in the garden so the birds can take a dip in it! Now, it's time to install a glass-walled walk-in shower! Forget about those icky shower curtains that cling to you when you rub against them and tend to grow mould and go for a nice sliding glass door. Once you are in there close it to keep all that nice steam inside so you can bask in it! We recommend two shower heads, a large stationary head that can rain down on you like in a locker room, and a snaky hose head that you can use to hit all of your body's difficult-to-reach spots. A hot shower never felt so good, just mind your utility bill!

We hope this has inspired you to improve your bathroom life, now go hit the showers!
