King Edward Lake is a gorgeous body of water that is situated in the high alpine Aberdeen Plateau in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia. The lake has an elevation of 1,358 meters and is just one of many lakes that are located on the plateau. King Edward Lake is about 30 minutes drive from the city of Vernon and is an excellent place to get away from the busier lakes at the bottom of the valley. It is a popular fishing lake and is stocked with plenty of beautiful rainbow trout. The lake also boasts 3 campsites and a beach at the King Edward Lake Rec Site, which is set in an idyllic mountaintop location. There is also a hiking trail leading around the lake which occasionally opens up to beautiful views overlooking the lake.
