Experience the Wood Lake Loop by starting at Gatzke’s Farm, where you can rent e-bikes and grab snacks for your adventure. This trail encompasses the entirety of Wood Lake and promises a mellow, but lengthy walk of 17.2 km. Beginning in Lake Country allows for a midway stop in charming Oyama, situated between two lakes. While exploring Oyama, take a quick detour to marvel at the stunning Kalamalka Lake - widely regarded as one of the world's most magnificent lakes.

The loop takes visitors along part of two separate trail systems the Okanagan Rail Trail as well as the Pelmewash Parkway and has stops at attractions such as Ribbleworth Falls. Once hikers and bikers reach the town of Winfield at the south end of the lake they will have several restaurants to choose from such as GOGO Sushi or the popular Turtle Bay Pub.

This leisurely loop trail is suitable for all ages and fitness levels as it covers a flat terrain of under 20 kilometers, making it perfect for families, seniors, and everyone in between. That being said it is quite long and the summer heat in the Okanagan Valley is intense, so be sure to think ahead and bring plenty of water. Whether on foot or bike, this easy and enjoyable trail promises an unforgettable experience.
