About Okanagan College Connector Trail, Vernon, British Columbia
The Okanagan College Connector Trail is situated on the south end of the city of Vernon, British Columbia, Canada, and has marvelous views of Okanagan Lake as well as Swan Lake to the north. You can start your hike at either Fulton Secondary School or from Mission Road which has a baseball diamond and some parking spaces. The trail takes you through gorgeous fields of Okanagan grasslands and in the springtime, you’ll see an abundance of colorful wildflowers as well as the many species of birds that make the hiking trail their home including quails, pheasants, hawks, magpies, robins, finches, doves and many more. There are several viewpoints along the way equipped with benches to stop and take in the views of scenic Turtle Mountain and the popular orchards that line its hillsides.
