What are the Links Uniting Canada and France?
If you wonder why so many people travel back and forth from Canada to France on a regular basis, look no further than to the history that unites them. Even though France had to leave behind the territory that it had conquered in what is now known as Canada, its language stayed behind, creating a link that would remain forever, afterward. But there are more reasons why Canadian travelers chose France as their destination. Here is a closer look at some of them.
A Shared Culture
When French Canadians open their radio, they are bound to hear a few songs coming from France. When they watch movies on one of their favorite streaming platforms, they will often choose a French one as well. That is because the language that unites them is a very important element of their lives. People in the province of Quebec are often of French descent. In that respect, they are attracted by the country where their ancestors came from. This in itself explains why there are so many daily flights from Montreal to Paris. Quebecers want to travel across the pond and discover the roots of their own culture. Some people even travel to Paris just to catch a show or a particular theatre play. Canada and France hold many companies that have partners in the other country, or in which their position is strong. This is particularly true of four industry sectors, which are: Aerospace, agriculture, automotive as well as industrial engineering and automation. They can't wait to discover Canada, a country that offers such a wonderful natural environment, with fresh air and so many lakes where they can fish and swim in pure water.
This fascination is also true in regard to Paris. Canadians of all provinces dream of strolling lazily in its streets, doing a little shopping, and drinking a café on a terrace. They can't wait to visit the castles that are found nearby, such as the Château de Versailles or the one in Chantilly. Just the idea of visiting the Louvres Museum is sufficient to get them on a plane. There is no doubt that many links unite these two countries and that travelers will keep going back and forth from Canada to France.
