Embark on the Climb of a Lifetime Along the Sentinel Pass

There are endless hiking trails in the Canadian Rockies, so it was exceptionally difficult to pick just one. However, this hike combines both Lake Louise and Lake Moraine in a 6-hour round trip. Managing to see two of the most beautiful lakes in the Rockies in the space of 10 kilometers means you can cram more of the best views into the shortest possible period of time. You begin at the Northwest of Moraine Lake and make your way along the Larch Valley. Once you reach the meadows, you'll be able to see three peaks that top out at more than 3000 meters to the rear of you. As you carry on, you'll reach the end of the walk which takes you along a trail that looks directly down into Paradise Valley. This route requires moderate fitness levels, as the route is quite a climb, but it's well signposted and there's no need for any climbing or scrambling. If you're looking to take your beginner hikes up just one notch then this one is a great option.

Relax at the Stoney Nakoda Resort

By night, the resort offers a choice of restaurants and bars but is most famous for its expansive casino. Here you can play the full variety of table games, as well as state-of-the-art video slot machines. Whilst it’s absolutely worth visiting the casino at the Stoney Nakoda Resort, sometimes a big hike can really take it out of you.
