Playa Sayulita, Nayarit
Playa Sayulita is a long stretch of gorgeous sand that is situated in the town of Sayulita, Mexico. It is one of many popular spots along the Riviera Nayarit and brings in a ton of surfers looking to catch that near-perfect wave. The beach is divided into two sections the south beach and the north beach which are divided by the Sayulita River that runs out into the Pacific Ocean. The south end of the beach is where most of the action takes place and tends to be quite busy at times. This is where you will find the salesmen, tour operators, and restaurants and you will be able to rent an umbrella and chairs for the day. The north end is much quieter and is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the south end of Playa Sayulita. In this section of Sayulita Beach sea turtles come to lay their eggs and you can find a turtle hatchery where they gather the eggs and ensure their protection until the time of release, which is open for public viewing.
North Sayulita Beach is definitely the place to get away and go for a nice long beach walk. That being said even the north half of the beach has some good restaurants and resorts to choose from.
