Silver Beach Provincial Park
About Silver Beach Provincial Park, Seymour Arm, Shuswap
Located at the far northern reaches of Shuswap Lake, British Columbia is the incredibly beautiful destination known as Silver Beach Provincial Park. The park is situated in the remote village of Seymour Arm at the original site of a historic gold rush town that was formerly named Ogden City. Silver Beach features a large public campground boasting 35 total sites, some of which are beachfront on what is perhaps the Shuswap’s most beautiful beach. There are plenty of walking trails throughout this 130-hectare park, as well as a wildlife estuary at the Seymour River. The park is accessible by boat or the Celista-Seymour Forest Service Road, which is a dirt road that runs along the edge of Shuswap Lake.
Silver Beach is an idyllic family travel destination that offers up a peaceful change from the busier parts of the British Columbia interior, like the tourist-filled Okanagan Valley. Whether you come for the swimming, house-boating, fishing, camping, or just straight relaxation Silver Sands is an enjoyable experience for everyone. Anglers who want to do some fishing on Shuswap Lake will be pleased to know that the lake is home to at least 19 species of fish.
