Sandy Beach, Blind Bay

Sandy Beach is one of two main beaches that are situated in the wonderful lakeside village of Blind Bay, British Columbia. The beach boasts lovely white powdery sand and picture-perfect scenery looking out on Shuswap Lake. It features several picnic tables making it ideal for family days at the beach. The park is also located right next to the Bayside Marina and Grill, which is an excellent place to stop and eat after a day at the beach.

Fuller Road Beach, Kelowna

Fuller Road Beach is a small park located in Kelowna, British Columbia that provides beach access to beautiful Okanagan Lake. It is situated in an area of Kelowna known as the Lower Mission and is just one of many beach access points that lie along the popular Lakeshore Drive. The park features a swing set, a small playground, and a picnic table. For a fun adventure, try renting one of the local Lime E-scooters and make Fuller Road Beach a stopover on your Lakeshore Drive beach hopping cruise.

Skaha Lake, Penticton

Skaha Lake is a gorgeous body of water that stretches for 11.8 km (7.3 mi) and has a max-width of 2.2 km (1.4 mi). It is perfectly nestled into the scenic Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada, and is situated between the city of Penticton at the north end and the village of Okanagan Falls at the south end. The lake is also home to the quaint little village of Kaleden, which lies on its western shores. The source of Skaha Lake is Okanagan Lake via the Penticton Channel. The channel is a very popular floating spot, bringing in loads of tourists looking to cool off in the peaceful lazy river.

Roy Sharp Community Park, Shuswap

Roy Sharp Community Park is situated along Sunnybrae-Canoe Point Road on the shores of gorgeous Shuswap Lake in British Columbia. The park was named as a dedication to a prominent Sunnybrae community member named Roy Sharp, who tragically passed away on May 6, 2017, during the Robinson Creek landslide. The park features crystal clear water and a beautiful beach that is a combination of sand and rocks. it also boasts amenities such as outhouses, picnic tables, benches, a parking lot and a wheelchair friendly trail. Overall the park is a great place for a day at the beach for a family picnic.

Kalamalka Lake

Consider taking your next vacation to the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, where you will find lovely Kalamalka Lake. Kal Lake is in fact so gorgeous that I would put it up there with some of the best lakes in the world. It is a mid-sized lake that stretches about 16 km from the city of Vernon to the small beach town of Oyama. The lake is epic at any time of the year but is especially vibrant in the summer months when its water temperatures heat up and create a reaction called light scattering.

Canoe Beach, Salmon Arm

Rocky Point Community Park, Blind Bay

Rocky Point Community Park is a must-visit beach that is situated in the idyllic lakefront village of Blind Bay, British Columbia. It lies on the shores of gorgeous Shuswap Lake and is the perfect spot for swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding. The park is located at the tip of Reedman Point where beachgoers will enjoy excellent views of Copper Island and the surrounding area. It also features a lovely beach with crystal clear water and some very interesting geologic formations.

Lisheen Beach, Vernon, BC

Lisheen Beach is a relatively unknown beach access point situated in the Okanagan Valley on the shores of lovely Kalamalka Lake, British Columbia. This beautiful beach lies in the Coldstream community on the outskirts of the city of Vernon. The beach lacks any kind of amenities but does provide visitors with a great place to go swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, or just a place to relax and have a sunset picnic.

Gallagher Lake, Oliver, BC

Gallagher Lake is a small but beautiful body of water situated on the outskirts of the town of Oliver. Located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, British Columbia this natural spring-fed lake boasts dramatic mountain settings and incredible turquoise water. The landscape around the lake is mainly desert and as such, it is packed full of fun activities like hiking, biking, and wine tours. Many world-class wines are produced in Oliver and it has been aptly dubbed “the wine capital of Canada”

Little Shuswap Lake

Little Shuswap Lake is a small lake that is located in the Columbia/Shuswap region of British Columbia, Canada. This picturesque lake receives most of its inflow via the Little River, which flows in from its massive neighbor known as Shuswap Lake. At the other end of Little Shuswap Lake is the South Thompson River, which flows into Kamloops Lake. The lake is approximately 7.8 kilometers (4.8 mi) long and 2.4 kilometers wide.

Davis Cove Beach, Peachland

Davis Cove Beach is situated in Peachland, British Columbia which is one of the Okanagan Valley’s most idyllic towns. This splendid little beach park sits at the very start of a popular 11 kilometer stretch of shoreline known as Beach Avenue. The beach features lovely sand and great views of Okanagan Lake and Okanagan Mountain but doesn't have anything in terms of amenities. On either side of the beach are convenient beachfront rentals called the Davis Cove Resort and the Peachland Lakehouse Vacation Rental

Heartnut Park, West Kelowna

Heartnut Park is a small beach access point that is located on the shores of beautiful Okanagan Lake, British Columbia. It is situated in the Gellatly area of the city of West Kelowna. Aside from a private place for a picnic and a small rocky beach, the park doesn’t feature anything in terms of amenities. Heartnut Park is next to a popular tourist attraction called the Gellatly Nut Farm. The farm is an important piece of Okanagan history and showcases beautiful old pioneer buildings.

Braeloch Road Beach, Kelowna

Braeloch Road Beach is a lake access point that is located in the beautiful Lakeshore Drive area of the city of Kelowna, British Columbia. It is one of many beaches and lake access points that are situated in this popular tourist and resort spot. The beach sits in a quiet neighborhood and features a nice sandy beach and picnic tables. Though Braeloch Road Beach doesn’t have much in terms of amenities it is an excellent place for a family picnic or doing some paddleboarding.

Winchester Beach, Sicamous

Winchester Beach Park and Boat Launch are located in the picturesque beachfront neighborhood known as Swansea Point, which is located on Mara Lake, British Columbia. It is situated a few minutes from the beach town of Sicamous in the Shuswap region of BC. Winchester Beach is one of seven public beach access points at Swansea Point. It features a boat launch, a dock, and a beautiful pearly white sand beach. The beach is great for swimming, kayaking, and SUP paddle boarding and is the perfect spot to spend the day having a family picnic or a beach BBQ.

Hazelnut Park, West Kelowna

Hazelnut Park is an undeveloped beach that is situated on beautiful Okanagan Lake. It lies in the Gellatly area of West Kelowna, British Columbia. The park features a beach comprised of sand, gravel, and small natural rocks. It is located next to the local attraction called Gellatly Nut Farm, which is a historic piece of the Okanagan. Overall Hazelnut Park is a great place for a beach picnic and provides visitors with privacy in an otherwise busy tourist area. The beach also makes for an excellent place to swim or launch paddleboards or kayaks.

Long Lake Beach, Vernon

With cerulean blue waters, near-perfect beaches, and boundless beauty, Kalamalka Lake has so much to offer and leaves little to be desired. This popular tourist destination lies in Canada’s only desert region called the Okanagan Valley and is one of British Columbia’s greatest treasures. It features plenty of great family-friendly attractions like beaches, provincial parks, and hiking trails. Long Lake Beach is just one of many idyllic beaches that are situated along Kalamalka Lake’s scenic shores.

Mint Beach, Vernon, BC

Mint Beach is a small park and beach that is situated on lovely Kalamalka Lake, British Columbia. This ideally located beach lies on Westkal Road in the Coldstream area of the city of Vernon. This beach park undeveloped and has nothing in terms of amenities aside from two parking spaces, a trash can. It has a small sandy area that is perfect for taking a swim in the crystal clear waters of Kalamalka Lake. There are a couple of chairs that were brought there by some locals that provide an excellent spot for hanging out at the lake. Keep in mind there aren’t any kind of washrooms at Mint Beach.

Hobson Beach Park, Kelowna

Lakeshore Road in Kelowna, British Columbia is abundant in beautiful beaches and Hobson Beach park is surely one of them. This Okanagan park is mostly undeveloped but does have some picnic tables and colorful Adirondack chairs for lounging. The beach is not only great for family picnics but provides a great place for swimming, floating, kayaking and is part of the Kelowna Paddle Trail. The trail is a 27 km shoreline paddle that features 20 beaches and parks, 3 lakefront resorts, and 2 bird sanctuaries.

Jameson Beach, Vernon, BC

Jameson Beach is a small undeveloped piece of beachfront land in Coldstream, British Columbia that is open for public use. The beach is located on the edge of spectacular Kalamalka Lake on Westkal Road, which is technically considered the greater Vernon area. The park has nothing in terms of amenities aside from two parking spaces, and a trash can. It features a sandy little beach area that is perfect for family picnics and makes for a great place to cool off go swimming in the crystal clear waters of Kalamalka Lake.

Shady Beach, Vernon, BC

Shady Beach is a small slice of Okanagan paradise that lies on the shores of the incredibly beautiful Kalamalka Lake, British Columbia. This idyllic beach is situated on Westkal Road in the village of Coldstream, which is technically considered the greater Vernon area. The park is pretty much undeveloped with no amenities aside from two parking spaces, a trash can, and some decent landscaping. It has a small beach area that is perfect for taking a nice dip in the cerulean blue waters of Kalamalka.
