Located in the beautiful province of British Columbia is the 4,25 km Cinnamon Ridge hiking trail, which leads adventurists through some of Canada’s only desert areas to a dramatic scene of ancient geologic wonders. Situated on the outskirts of the city of Kamloops, Cinnamon Ridge is one of many hiking trails in the Lac du Bois Grasslands Protected Area, but this particular hike is special and offers a chance to get up close and personal with some incredible hoodoo rock formations.
The Mara Canyon Trail is a fine example of British Columbia’s boundless beauty and offers hikers a glimpse into the region’s desert ecosystems and its fascinating geologic history. Located on the outskirts of the city of Kamloops, Mara Canyon is a must-do hike for anybody visiting the incredibly diverse Columbia/Shuswap region.
Battle Bluff hiking trail is situated within the Lac du Bois Grasslands Protected Area and features scenery that will blow you away with its abundant beauty and unique desert landscapes. As you ascend the summit you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the Kamloops region in British Columbia and gorgeous Kamloops Lake in particular. The trail is moderate difficulty and is a relatively family-friendly hike and takes around 2 hours round trip.
