This beach is the perfect spot to relax, have a family picnic, and watch the gorgeous turquoise waves crashing in a fantastic natural rhythm.
Carmel Beach is a dog-friendly beach and allows man’s best friend the ability to frolic amongst the powdery white grains.
Northern California can sometimes be quite foggy, but like much of California, it is beautiful weather for most of the year in Carmel-by-the-Sea and sunny warm days are common in any month of the year.
If Carmel Beach seems too crowded and busy then you can drive a few minutes south to Carmel River State Beach. You’ll drive around Carmel point and enjoy the unique architecture of the local houses along with the wonderful oceanside vistas. Carmel River State Beach is the less busy and more peaceful neighborhood of Carmel Beach.
