Guide to Travel La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Mexico
About La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
La Cruz de Huanacaxtle is the epitome of a traditional Mexican fishing village. Nicknamed La Cruz by the locals this quaint town is situated on the gorgeous Bay of Banderas shores in the state of Nayarit, Mexico, and is just 6 km north of Bucerias.
Though La Cruz has been a fishing village for many generations, it is now becoming a modernized vacation destination due in part to the construction of the Riviera Nayarit Marina. Being the bedroom community to Bucerias and having the largest marina in Nayarit means that this traditional Mexican pueblo has become quite the booming little place.

The marina is also well suited with all the proper docking services such as bathrooms, showers, security, electricity and stations for fueling up your boats. Beaches in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle
Of course, the main reason why tourists flock to Nayarit from all over the world is the beautiful beaches. La Cruz Beach stretches 5 km (3 mi) and is divided into five separate smaller beach sections and they are El Tizate, Cruz de Huanacaxtle, La Manzanilla, Piedra Blanca, and Arena Blanca.
Playa La Manzanilla is perhaps the most popular section of the beach in town and provides beachgoers access to several beachfront restaurants where you can eat freshly caught fish and enjoy some delicious cocktails. Visitors can also enjoy the somewhat placid water of La Manzanilla and try their hand at activities such as snorkeling, and scuba diving, and in winter there is even surfing.
