Moses Falls, Revelstoke
About Moses Falls, British Columbia, Canada
Moses Falls has an abundance of splendid beauty and is one of many wonderful attractions in the adventure-filled town of Revelstoke, British Columbia. It provides visitors with a lovely photogenic backdrop and a whimsical rainforest vibe that would be the perfect setting for wedding photography and with the short hike involved could be a definite possibility for newlyweds. That being said the trail is short but steep and can be mucky in some areas, so it is not recommended to wear your wedding attire.
Depending on what time of year you visit, Moses Falls can range from raging glacial spring runoff. In springtime, the melting snow on the surrounding mountain peaks creates an intense downflow of water, and Moses Falls will show off its true power. Later on, in the summer when much of the snow has melted the falls slow down to a mere trickle and on a hot day it is the perfect place to cool off in one of the leftover pools of fresh mountain water. At the bottom of the falls is Moses Creek Community Park which has a nice waterfront day-use spot on the Columbia River.
Overall Moses Falls is a great attraction in the Revelstoke area and is an easy hike for almost anybody and provides a great reward for little effort.
