Where to Stay
There are several options for your holidays including resorts, hotels, beach clubs, and restaurants in the area, but it remains fairly limited and expensive. I suggest bringing a cooler stocked with beers to avoid the high prices of the beach bars.
How to Get to Platja de Formentor
We got to the beach on a bus which we took from Port de Pollensa, which was very cheap and well worth it. The drive out there is incredible as the bus winds up through part of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range and gifts you incredible views. I suggest taking the early bus out before loads of other tourists arrive, this way you will be able to rent some palapas and loungers before they are all taken.
You can also reach Platja de Formentor by boat from places like Alcudia and Port de Pollensa.
