The Amazing Artwork of Bacalar, Mexico
Those of you that have traveled to Mexico know that it is a very colorful and vibrant country. Pretty much every village, town, and city has at least some kind of artwork to represent the culture, the people, and the place. What city in Mexico has the most art? That is to be debated, and there are some truly artsy cities in Mexico. Places like Sayulita, Campeche, or San Miguel de Allende might first come to mind, but there is an incredibly beautiful town way down by the Belizean border called Bacalar and you will marvel at all the amazing wall paintings in this town.

Bacalar is not only a very colorful and artsy town, but it is much more well-known for its truly unique geography, as it lies on the shores of a large freshwater lagoon called the Bacalar Lagoon. Activities are generally centered around the lagoon and there are many boat tours to various places of interest.
