About Tropic Bacalar, Quintana Roo

Tropic Bacalar is a hotel and beach club that is situated in the beautiful Costa Maya town of Bacalar, Mexico in the state of Quintana Roo. The beach club features amenities like a full bar, an elegantly landscaped garden, a dock with a palapa and swings, a gazebo with seating, and two hammock areas. There is also free WiFi and washrooms for guests staying or purchasing a day pass. Day Passes run at $100 MX per person per day and they include a free beer and full access to the facilities. Kayaks and paddleboards are also available for an extra fee.

The hotel itself is rated as a 3-star hotel but has 5-star views of the turquoise Bacalar Lagoon. A stay at the Tropic Bacalar is mid-range in terms of budget and offers free room service and a free breakfast to go along with it. The hotel features rooms of a few different sizes including larger family rooms.
