Balneario Ejidal Magico Bacalar
About Balneario Ejidal Magico Bacalar, Quintana Roo, Mexico
Balneario Ejidal Magico Bacalar is a beach club and restaurant that lies on the gorgeous shores of the Bacalar Lagoon. The lagoon is one of Mexico’s largest lakes and is located in the popular state of Quintana Roo. The beach club itself features access to the crystal clear waters of the lagoon while offering rentals of palapas, and kayaks, as well as the use of the club’s large waterslide. On the property, there are several souvenir stands, where you can purchase all kinds of trinkets and even snorkels to use in the lake.
The entry fee for the club is $20 MXN ($1.25 CAD - $0.98 USD) per person for the entire day. You can either lay out a blanket on the grass for free or rent a palapa, which costs $50 MXN ($3.12 CAD - $2.48 USD) per day. Kayaks can be rented by the hour for $200 MXN ($12.46 CAD - $9.83 USD).
All in all Balneario Ejidal Magico Bacalar is a nice cheap place to take the family for a day. That being said the facilities are a bit outdated and there are definitely nicer beach clubs in Bacalar, but for the price, you can’t really go wrong.
