Tarragona’s history goes so far back that the actual founding date is still unknown, though there is a theory that the city goes back to at least 2407 BC to the times of an Ethiopian pharoah named Tearcon, who ruled over parts of Spain.
Pannzian Beach Resort is situated in a remote area of the Philippines in the northernmost reaches of Luzon island in the beautiful province of Ilocos Norte. Though close to the fairly popular, but busy beach resort area of Pagudpud, Pannzian remains a world away from that and offers up a much-needed dose of peace and solitude for the weary travel beaten backpacker. Old Town Alcudia is a well preserved medieval town located on the incredibly gorgeous island of Mallorca, Spain, that was built in the 13th-14th centuries. The name Alcudia points even further towards the past to the islands Arabic history, you see in 905AD the island of Mallorca came under Muslim rule and their reign lasted till 1229AD, until King James I, of Aragon captured the island for the crown and immediately started with the construction of Alcudia.
London, England is a place with an incredibly rich and diverse history going back as far as, well… before history. Structures found in the River Thames push the dates of occupation in the area back to 4,800 BC, but it wasn’t until the Romans came that it earned its status in history and they named it Londinium, coincidence, I think not.
