Hurlburt Park, Vernon , BC
About Hurlburt Park, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia
For around 80 years this little slice of paradise known as Hurlburt Park was a summer camp for kids, and it wasn’t until recently that the city of Vernon, British Columbia purchased the land and turned it into this picturesque public beach. This is especially a treat for locals who drove by this mesmerizing spot on a regular basis while making their way out to nearby Ellison Provincial Park and always daydreamed of being able to one day lay on its perfect red sand.
The Okanagan Valley is full of gorgeous beaches but Hurlburt is something special and features unique red sand, clear water, a dock for jumping in, picnic tables, and public washrooms.
