Shack Island
This tiny island can be explored at low tide when the shallow waters that separate Pipers Lagoon from Neck Point become accessible. There are small fishing shacks on the island, hence the name “Shack Island” and they are occupied periodically by First Nations people, whose ancestors have hunted the lagoon’s waters for centuries.
