Heartnut Park, West Kelowna

Heartnut Park is a small beach access point that is located on the shores of beautiful Okanagan Lake, British Columbia. It is situated in the Gellatly area of the city of West Kelowna. Aside from a private place for a picnic and a small rocky beach, the park doesn’t feature anything in terms of amenities. Heartnut Park is next to a popular tourist attraction called the Gellatly Nut Farm. The farm is an important piece of Okanagan history and showcases beautiful old pioneer buildings.

Braeloch Road Beach, Kelowna

Braeloch Road Beach is a lake access point that is located in the beautiful Lakeshore Drive area of the city of Kelowna, British Columbia. It is one of many beaches and lake access points that are situated in this popular tourist and resort spot. The beach sits in a quiet neighborhood and features a nice sandy beach and picnic tables. Though Braeloch Road Beach doesn’t have much in terms of amenities it is an excellent place for a family picnic or doing some paddleboarding.

Winchester Beach, Sicamous

Winchester Beach Park and Boat Launch are located in the picturesque beachfront neighborhood known as Swansea Point, which is located on Mara Lake, British Columbia. It is situated a few minutes from the beach town of Sicamous in the Shuswap region of BC. Winchester Beach is one of seven public beach access points at Swansea Point. It features a boat launch, a dock, and a beautiful pearly white sand beach. The beach is great for swimming, kayaking, and SUP paddle boarding and is the perfect spot to spend the day having a family picnic or a beach BBQ.

Hazelnut Park, West Kelowna

Hazelnut Park is an undeveloped beach that is situated on beautiful Okanagan Lake. It lies in the Gellatly area of West Kelowna, British Columbia. The park features a beach comprised of sand, gravel, and small natural rocks. It is located next to the local attraction called Gellatly Nut Farm, which is a historic piece of the Okanagan. Overall Hazelnut Park is a great place for a beach picnic and provides visitors with privacy in an otherwise busy tourist area. The beach also makes for an excellent place to swim or launch paddleboards or kayaks.

Long Lake Beach, Vernon

This popular tourist destination lies in Canada’s only desert region called the Okanagan Valley and is one of British Columbia’s greatest treasures. It features plenty of great family-friendly attractions like beaches, provincial parks, and hiking trails. Long Lake Beach is just one of many idyllic beaches that are situated along Kalamalka Lake’s scenic shores.

Mint Beach, Vernon, BC

Mint Beach is a small park and beach that is situated on lovely Kalamalka Lake, British Columbia. This ideally located beach lies on Westkal Road in the Coldstream area of the city of Vernon. This beach park undeveloped and has nothing in terms of amenities aside from two parking spaces, a trash can. It has a small sandy area that is perfect for taking a swim in the crystal clear waters of Kalamalka Lake. There are a couple of chairs that were brought there by some locals that provide an excellent spot for hanging out at the lake. Keep in mind there aren’t any kind of washrooms at Mint Beach.

Hobson Beach Park, Kelowna

Lakeshore Road in Kelowna, British Columbia is abundant in beautiful beaches and Hobson Beach park is surely one of them. This Okanagan park is mostly undeveloped but does have some picnic tables and colorful Adirondack chairs for lounging. The beach is not only great for family picnics but provides a great place for swimming, floating, kayaking and is part of the Kelowna Paddle Trail. The trail is a 27 km shoreline paddle that features 20 beaches and parks, 3 lakefront resorts, and 2 bird sanctuaries.

Jameson Beach, Vernon, BC

Jameson Beach is a small undeveloped piece of beachfront land in Coldstream, British Columbia that is open for public use. The beach is located on the edge of spectacular Kalamalka Lake on Westkal Road, which is technically considered the greater Vernon area. The park has nothing in terms of amenities aside from two parking spaces, and a trash can. It features a sandy little beach area that is perfect for family picnics and makes for a great place to cool off go swimming in the crystal clear waters of Kalamalka Lake.

Shady Beach, Vernon, BC

Shady Beach is a small slice of Okanagan paradise that lies on the shores of the incredibly beautiful Kalamalka Lake, British Columbia. This idyllic beach is situated on Westkal Road in the village of Coldstream, which is technically considered the greater Vernon area. The park is pretty much undeveloped with no amenities aside from two parking spaces, a trash can, and some decent landscaping. It has a small beach area that is perfect for taking a nice dip in the cerulean blue waters of Kalamalka.

Pebble Beach, West Kelowna

Pebble Beach Park is situated on idyllic Okanagan Lake at the end of Whitworth Road in West Kelowna, British Columbia, and is located in the small beachfront community known as Gellatly. The area is a popular vacation destination because of its abundance of attractions and fun activities.

Beechnut Park, West Kelowna

Beechnut Park is an undeveloped piece of beachfront land that is located in the Gellatly area of West Kelowna, British Columbia. The park features a beach that is comprised of sand, gravel, and natural rock, picnic tables, benches, convenient free parking, and it is situated right next to the historic Gellatly Nut Farm.

The Gellatly area and the Gellatly Bay Waterfront, in particular, are well-known for their abundance of activities and attractions which includes a ton of beaches, resorts, and wineries

Kalamalka Lake Beaches

Kalamalka Lake is a truly memorizing sight to behold and is perhaps the most beautiful attraction in the entire Okanagan Valley and that is saying a lot when you’re talking about a region of British Columbia with seemingly infinite beauty. The lake is fair in size and stretches 16 km from the city of Vernon to the quaint beach town of Oyama. The lake boasts several excellent parks that feature larger beaches and many small cove beaches as well. Popular parks around the lake include Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park, Cougar Canyon, Kekuli Bay Provincial Park, Kaloya Reginal Park, and Pioneer Park.

Evely Recreation Site, BC

The Evely Recreation Site is located on one of the Okanagan Valley’s most scenic roads, which goes by the name of Westside Road. It is situated between Vernon and Kelowna, British Columbia, and is a great beach and camping destination to visit during your time in the valley. Evely Recreation Site has over 50 campsites and charges a small daily fee to use them and can only be rented on a “first come first serve basis” meaning there is no way to make reservations. Each campsite is equipped with a flat greenspace for tents, picnic tables, and firepits. Most of the sites are lakefro nt and have direct access to the beach on Okanagan Lake.

Fourth Street Beach Park, Lake Country

Okanagan Centre Beach is situated in the beautiful community known as Lake Country, British Columbia. It lies in the heart of the popular wine region known as the Okanagan Valley. Lake Country is part of the North Okanagan and occupies the area between Vernon and Kelowna. This park features a lovely pebble and sand beach that has fantastic views looking out over Okanagan Lake towards the city of Kelowna. It conveniently sits right across the street from a restaurant called The Salty Caramel, which is one of three food establishments in the Okanagan Centre village.

Okanagan Centre Safe Harbour Regional Park

Okanagan Centre Safe Harbour Regional Park is situated along the beautiful Okanagan Lake in the beach community of Lake Country, British Columbia. The main purpose of the park is to provide safety for boaters during a storm, but aside from that it also provides visitors with a lovely piece to hang out for the day and have a beach picnic. The park boasts a gorgeous setting and features several ideal sandy beaches, a dock for fishing, as well as a convenient boat launch. The beach is also connected to the Okanagan Centre Beach Park Trail, which is one of the Okanagan Valley’s most scenic trails.

Naramata Centre Beach

Naramata Centre Beach is a wonderful example of what the Okanagan Valley has to offer in terms of beauty. It is situated along the shores of spectacular Okanagan Lake in the heart of Naramata, which is one of Canada’s most famous wine regions. This beautiful park features a white sand beach and a dock that look out over Okanagan Lake and the desert-like mountains surrounding it. There are also plenty of benches in the park and even several benches that have been arranged in a rectangle that provides ample seating and are perfect for families.

Bluebird Beach Park, Kelowna

Bluebird Beach Park is situated In the beautiful city of Kelowna, British Columbia along the popular Lakeshore Road, which is a popular lakefront walking and biking area that has many different beach and lake access points. The park itself is 3.6 acres in size and features more than 705 feet of gorgeous white sand beach. It is a new park, so it is still kind of rough, but it does have the bare amenities like washrooms and parking.

Manitou Park, Naramata

Manitou Park is situated in the gorgeous Okanagan Valley and is one of Naramata, British Columbia’s most popular beach destinations. It provides visitors with a spectacular white sand beach and great views looking out on scenic Okanagan Lake. The beach lies short a short walk from Naramata’s town center and is an excellent place to watch the sunset after a wine tasting excursion. The park features a large white sand beach, public washrooms, a baseball diamond, a volleyball court, two playgrounds, a beach slide that goes into the lake, a floating dock, and picnic tables.

Marina Park, West Kelowna

Marina Park is part of the Gellatly Bay area in the city of West Kelowna, British Columbia. The park is situated on the shores of the popular vacation destination known as Okanagan Lake. It features a nice sandy beach, covered picnic tables, a grassy play area, washrooms, and an excellent playground for the kids. The beach is in close proximity to a ton of fun activities and West Kelowna is abundant in beachfront resorts, and restaurants, as well as world-class wineries, vineyards, and even cideries.
