Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park

Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park lies on a picturesque rocky peninsula that extends out into the lake of the same name, Kalamalka, also known as “the lake of many colors”. It is situated about ten minutes outside of the city of Vernon, British Columbia, and is possibly the most popular and beautiful parks in the region. The park features around 978 hectares (2,420 acres) of arid Okanagan Valley wilderness that boasts gorgeous coves and beaches, along with scenic hiking trails looking out over the blue waters of the lake.

Gellatly Bay Park

Gellatly Bay Park is an attraction that is part of a 2 km long waterfront promenade in the Gellatly Bay community of West Kelowna, British Columbia. The walkway boasts several beaches and parks along the way and is a fantastic place for walking and biking. The park itself features the Gellatly Aquatic Park where there are public diving boards, zip lines that are built on a wooden dock. There is also a small cove with a nice sandy beach in the park which is great for swimming and cooling off in Okanagan Lake.

Osprey Park, West Kelowna

Osprey Park is a small public green space in West Kelowna, British Columbia that is situated on a gorgeous lagoon on Okanagan Lake. The park is ideal for spotting some of the Okanagan Valley’s unique birds and wildlife. It features a small sandy cove looking out onto Green Bay which is perfect for launching a kayak or SUP paddleboard but due to its swampy environment, it isn’t a great swimming spot. But it does feature a small children's playground and is a quiet and tranquil place to relax.

Marina Way Park, Penticton

Marina Way Beach is a park at the head of Okanagan Lake on the south end. It is situated on one of the Okanagan Valley’s most popular waterfront walkways in the city of Penticton, British Columbia. The park sits on 4 acres of prime Penticton waterfront and features a small sandy beach as well as picnic tables, and Adirondack chairs. The beach is the ideal spot for family swimming and has great shallow water for young children.

Beaches in Vernon, BC

When it comes to the city of Vernon there are three main lakes to consider and those are Swan Lake, Kalamalka Lake, and Okanagan Lake. Pritchard Park in West Kelowna, British Columbia is a fairly large park that features plenty of convenient amenities including a picture-perfect sandy beach, a volleyball court, picnic tables, benches, a playground, washrooms, and a nice dock that is great for sunbathing and jumping in the water for a swim. It has plenty of green space for family gatherings and the beach provides an excellent place for water activities like swimming, SUP paddleboarding, Kayaking.

Rotary Park, West Kelowna

Rotary Park is located on the popular summertime destination known as Okanagan Lake in the Gellatly Bay area of West Kelowna, British Columbia. Gellatly Bay is a community that is full of great activities throughout the summer months and is situated along a popular wine route of the Okanagan Valley, which is a region known for its abundance of fruits, wines, and fantastic weather. The park is one of many beach areas in the Gellatly Bay area and is a great place to start your tour of this small community. There is ample parking at Rotary Park along with, a grassy area, shade trees, and benches that look out onto beautiful Okanagan Lake.

Casa Loma Beach, West Kelowna

Casa Loma Beach on Okanagan Lake is a great park to spend the day swimming or having a family picnic. It is situated in West Kelowna, British Columbia in the heart of the Okanagan Valley’s wine country. It is located in an area that features many attractions including more beaches, as well as resorts, restaurants, wineries, vineyards, and even cideries. The beach itself doesn’t feature any amenities aside from a couple of benches that the lake. That being said the park does feature a lovely sandy beach and beautiful views looking out at Okanagan Lake towards the city of Kelowna.

Sternwheeler Park, West Kelowna

Sternwheeler Park is an undeveloped beach and lake access point located in West Kelowna, British Columbia. It provides visitors with a small park area on scenic Okanagan Lake that is great for picnics, swimming, SUP paddleboarding, and kayaking. The beach is one of many that you find in the West Kelowna area and is close to many attractions of the Okanagan Valley including resorts, restaurants, wineries, and vineyards.

Willow Beach, West Kelowna

Willow Beach is a popular destination in the Gellatly area of West Kelowna, British Columbia. It attracts both locals and tourists alike who are looking to enjoy the gorgeous fine sand and warm waters of Okanagan Lake. The beach features a volleyball court, picnic tables, big trees for shade, and a concession stand where you can buy food and drinks. The area surrounding the park has some of the best attractions in the Okanagan Valley including world-class wineries, and orchards

Falcon Park, West Kelowna

Falcon Park is situated in spectacular West Kelowna, British Columbia along a well-known wine route where you will find an abundance of wineries, vineyards, restaurants, resorts, and of course beaches. Falcon Park itself has nothing in terms of amenities and is essentially a rough chunk of land in a beautiful area that is located on Okanagan Lake. It only has a single picnic table and a small sandy beach but what this little gem lacks in size and amenities is exactly what makes it the perfect place for privacy. Grab a bottle of local wine and head over to Falcon Park and cross your fingers that you will get the beach all to yourself.

Whitepoint Beach, Vernon

Whitepoint Beach lies on the outskirts of the city of Vernon in the lovely Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, and sits on the edge of gorgeous Okanagan Lake. The drive out to the beach is a spectacular one and takes you along Okanagan Landing where there are multi-million dollar lakefront houses, along with public beaches and coves that are great for swimming and family picnics.

McKinley Beach, Kelowna

Mckinley Beach is situated on the uber-popular Okanagan Lake, British Columbia, and has picture-perfect surroundings and brilliant waters. It lies just a few minutes from Kelowna and has been a go-to place for local residents for many years, but more recently it has been developed into a gorgeous beachfront resort community. Houses with expansive lake views are being built into the side of the mountain and they come at a pretty penny(not cheap) too.

Grant Island, Okanagan Lake

Grant Island is located in the gorgeous Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, and is inaccessible to the public as it is a protected bird sanctuary. The island is situated about one kilometer from the shores of the community of beautiful Lake Country, BC. It is one of only two islands on Okanagan Lake, Rattlesnake Island is the other and it is located in Okanagan Mountain Park across the lake from the town of Peachland.

Coral Beach Park

Coral Beach Park is situated along mesmerizing Okanagan Lake, which is a vacationers paradise in the summer months. It is located along a quiet road in the Coral Beach neighborhood of the community of Lake Country, British Columbia. This park is one of the best in the area in terms of being family-friendly and full of great amenities. The park features a great sandy beach with very clear water, a dock for sunbathing and swimming, excellent washrooms with flushing toilets and running water, a playground, a boat launch, and a tennis court.

Gable Beach Park

Gable Beach Park features a gorgeous sandy beach and beautiful clear water and is located in the Okanagan Valley’s stunning orchard and wine region called Lake Country, British Columbia. The park has a convenient boat launch as well as picnic tables, and an outhouse making it perfect for a family picnic day at the beach. The beach itself is somewhat hidden by the trees and requires you to walk a short trail to find it. The park is surrounded by wonderful scenery and incredible lakefront mansions and cabins.

R.S. Marshall Park, Lake Country

R.S. Marshall Park is the location for the Lake Country Sailing Club and is situated along world-famous Okanagan Lake in the beautiful province of British Columbia, Canada. The park has everything you need for a wonderful family picnic at the beach. There is a toilet, picnic tables, and a gorgeous beach with tiny red rocks and brilliantly clear water. The park is yet another amazing treasure of the communities known as Lake Country in the Okanagan Valley.
