Oxford Road Community Park is located in the beautiful little beach community known as Swansea Point on Mara Lake, British Columbia. It is just a few minutes driving south from the adventure-filled town of Sicamous in the Shuswap region of BC. It is one of seven small public beaches at Swansea Point and features two picnic tables, a small playground, an outhouse, and complimentary lifejackets for children. As with most of the beaches on Mara Lake, it has fine white sand and fantastic crystal clear water which is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and SUP paddleboarding. The beach is the perfect spot to spend the day having a family picnic or a beach BBQ.
If you happen to show up for a day of relaxation at Oxford Road Community Park and find that it is already taken, just remember there are six other public beaches on Swansea Point alone, so take a drive around the neighborhood and you're sure to find your own paradise.
