Secret Beach, Belize
About Secret Beach, Ambergris Caye, Belize
Secret Beach, Belize is a gorgeous representation of what the more touristy areas of today would’ve looked like years ago. Don’t be mistaken though, nowadays Secret Beach is starting to boom and crowds are starting to appear, that being said it is still possible to relax in peace and quiet. Sometimes the only contact you’ll have is your bartender bringing you another Belikin beer or the local ganja man, who has a plethora of edibles and smokables, but if that isn’t your thing then he will kindly thank you and move about his way. Secret beach is alive with colorful characters and Rastafarians, which is a popular religious practice in Belize.

Snorkeling and Wildlife
The surrounding waters are incredibly clear, which allows you to see the bottom as you wade out in the water. Underwater is a massive sand bar that connects several Cayes(islands) together and gives you the ability to walk pretty far out, but at your own risk, as the bay is full of all kinds of sea creatures. Snorkeling is a must-do activity if you're staying in Secret Beach. if you don’t get to go snorkeling then hit one of the restaurants like Aurora’s Grill, where you can sit at picnic tables that are strategically placed in the water, so that you can view all the fish swimming by, including the occasional giant manta ray. Another resident of Secret beach that likes to suntan all day is the large iguanas that layout on the warm rocks.
