Kentucky Alleyne Provincial Park

Kentucky Alleyne Provincial Park is situated in the countryside on the outskirts of Merritt, British Columbia. It consists of two gorgeous turquoise lakes called Kentucky Lake and Alleyne Lake. The two lakes are part of a larger chain of many small lakes and ponds. This incredible provincial park has great fishing, wildlife watching, and provides a great place for camping. There are hiking trails all throughout the park that shows off the lakes stunning blue water and lead you to private coves where you can swim and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of some of BC’s best lakes.

R.S. Marshall Park, Lake Country

R.S. Marshall Park is the location for the Lake Country Sailing Club and is situated along world-famous Okanagan Lake in the beautiful province of British Columbia, Canada. The park has everything you need for a wonderful family picnic at the beach. There is a toilet, picnic tables, and a gorgeous beach with tiny red rocks and brilliantly clear water. The park is yet another amazing treasure of the communities known as Lake Country in the Okanagan Valley.

Pipers Lagoon Park

Nanaimo, British Columbia has many beautiful parks and beaches but one of the most popular is Pipers Lagoon Park which features hiking trails with stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding islands, as well as rocky cliffs that look down on picture-perfect coves of clear ocean water. It is a great place to sit and relax on one of the strategically placed benches and watch the sunrise or sunset. The park is around 8-hectares and has many different trails with spectacular lookouts.

Rathtrevor Beach

Red Sand Beach, Vernon

Red Sand Beach is a small beach situated in a cove of the peninsula called Cameron Point located in Vernon, British Columbia. It features a quiet and picturesque place to relax or have a family picnic under the large weeping willows. Red Sand Beach has unique red sand granules that are easy on the feet and help to filter the water making it crystal clear and a great spot for swimming.

Duffey Lake Provincial Park

Duffey Lake and its provincial park is located around 55 km (34 miles) south-west of Lillooet, British Columbia, Canada, and is perfectly tucked into one of the largest mountain ranges in the world, called the Coastal Mountains.

Duffey Lake is remotely situated and has little to no infrastructure in terms of facilities. There is no drinking water, no picnic tables and no toilets at the lake, which only adds to the true remoteness of this body of freshwater.

Seton Lake

Seton Lake is a naturally formed fjord lake that is owned by the BC Hydro company who uses a dam to create electricity for the surrounding area. The lake is situated near the wonderful First Nations town of Lillooet, British Columbia, Canada, and is nestled into the outer edge of what is Canada’s version of the Himalayan Mountains called the Coastal Mountains. The scenery around the lake is unreal and the landscape is so treacherous that much of the lake is only accessible by boat.

Pavilion Lake

Pavilion Lake is perfectly tucked into the dramatic mountain ranges of Marble Canyon, British Columbia, Canada. It is located just off of Highway 99 in between the towns of Cache Creek and Lillooet. The lake lies within the boundaries of the Marble Canyon Provincial Park and sits on the edge of the vast wilderness that is known as the Coastal Mountains. The surrounding mountains of Marble Canyon, include Chimney Rock, which is a spiritual place for the First Nations communities that live in the region.

Sunnybrae Park

Sunnybrae Park is located in the small lakeside community of Sunnybrae, British Columbia, Canada, and is one of the best beaches in the Shuswap region of the province. It features a large beach with pristine waters situated on the gorgeous Shuswap Lake. There is a great family picnic area, a parking lot, as well as convenient flush toilets. There is also a short hiking trail that leads to a great view of Tappen Bay and Salmon Arm. There is a playground as well making Sunnybrae Park an excellent place to spend the day with the kids.

Monte Lake

Monte Lake is a small picturesque lake situated in the Thompson-Nicola region of beautiful British Columbia, Canada. It is well known in the area for its great fishing, which includes kokanee salmon, rainbow trout, and brook trout. It is also an excellent lake to take the family camping for the weekend and has a wonderful lakefront campsite and RV park called the Monte Lake Resort. There are also day-use areas on the North end of the lake with small beaches and swimming spots with crystal clear water.

Kopje Regional Park

Kopje Regional Park is situated on Okanagan Lake along a scenic back road between Vernon and Kelowna in an area called Lake Country, British Columbia. It features 3.2 hectares of lakefront land with picnic areas, a playground, washrooms, and a large rock beach with perfect views of Grant Island.

Whiskey Cove, British Columbia

Whiskey Cove Park and Beach are located along Carrs Landing Road, between Vernon and Kelowna, British Columbia. Carrs Landing is one of the Okanagan Valley’s most scenic drives and provides sweeping views of Okanagan Lake and the many orchards and wineries that surround it. Okanagan Lake is world-renowned for its many spectacular beaches and watersport activities.

Overlanders Park

Overlander Park is one of the main attractions of the city of Kamloops, British Columbia, and features a large white sand beach located on the Thompson River. It is the spot where two rivers converge, the North Thompson River and the South Thompson River. The meeting of these two rivers has created an amazing sand bar that allows you to walk out into the river when the water is low. The mixture of blue and brown waters creates a brilliant contrast of colors.

Nuyens Park, Lake Country, BC

Nuyens Park is situated on Carr’s Landing which one of Okanagan' Valley’s most scenic backroads and is located in the heart of British Columbia’s world-famous wine country. Ii features a park bench at the top with breathtaking views of Okanagan Lake looking towards the city of Kelowna. There is a short hiking trail that takes you through grasslands and the remnants of an old orchard down to a picturesque rocky cove with a beautiful pebble beach.

Kalamoir Park

Kalalmoir Regional Park is 27.6 hectares of gorgeous parkland that overlooks world-famous Okanagan Lake in British Columbia, Canada. It is located West Kelowna on the shores of one of the Okanagan Valley’s most popular wine tasting areas.

Cambridge Road Community Park, Sicamous

Cambridge Road Community Park in BC’s Shuswap features a gorgeous white sand beach with a picture-perfect backdrop of Mara Lake and the wilderness that surrounds it. There are four picnic tables and a washroom for the convenience of the beachgoers. Cambridge Road Community Park is located on Swansea Point, in the village of Sicamous, British Columbia, and is the ideal spot to have a family picnic. Jennens Park, West Kelowna

Jennens Park is situated in West Kelowna, British Columbia across the bridge and in the heart of the vineyard lands. It features a private beach area that lies on the edge of the gorgeous Okanagan Lake and has a perfect view across the lake to the popular Okanagan Mountain Provincial Park.
